Welcome
Welcome to Telpeath's Gift Layout 10.0 (or at least it should be). This redesign was inspired due to the 4th year celebration of Telpeath's Gift Online status. Beginning late in 2004, Telpeath's Gift first launched as the site called "The Last Alliance." After many reworks, relayouts, and revisions, the website you see before you emerged. I hope you enjoy the content you will find here.

Happy 5th Birthday Telpeath's Gift
Happy Birthday Telpeath's Gift

Five years ago on a blistery cold November day, Telpeath's Gift came from the ashes and became a website. As the Administrator of the website, I am so exciting seeing this website still thriving after so long. The website has come so far in the past five years and I want to thank all the affiliates and friends for helping it stay alive.

As you are all well aware, there are some internal changes that are happening on Telpeath's Gift. I have finished my school project, which means Telpeath's Gift is next in line for a major update. Next week is Thanksgiving and I will be using that time to evaluate my website, along with many other websites, to see what is needed and how to improve the website. I plan on after that revealing the time-line for the next update. However, traffic to the website has become slow, and that will really determine what will change.

Again, I am happy to see the Website Turn 5! I remember when it was a young "The Last Alliance" website and to see how far it has come. THANK YOU to all my friends, affiliates, visitors, and supporters. See you soon.

A Few Things
Happy Belated Halloween everyone. This semester has proven to me much harder than I anticipated - work wise. I am attempting to read about 2 acts of Shakespeare a night, working on some theory, along with practicing music for competitions. With all of this, I am trying to get a web layout up for a student organization here at the University, which is slowly coming together. Can someone say that a break is needed?

After I finish the project for my school, apparently I have been asked to design yet another website for my work (lucky me). This means, sadly, that the TG Project wont get started as early as I would have hoped. It also means that my other website *name not included* will not get started on.

I want to thank all those who have been visiting the website over the past month. Thank you for your comments and well wishes. It seems that I have won an award from The Master of Buckland Awards from Estella's site. THOUSAND THANK YOU'S! Also, my awards seemed to be filling out nicely, so I think when I go on Thanksgiving Break (hopefully) I will judge and start a new round. I am also expecting some form of update that day with some more information (what?). Till then, I hope you all have a safe November!

Happy Almost October
Sad to say that I have neglected again to post and update. I promise that winds of change are coming. I have been taking on some web-design opportunities at my school that are keeping me up to practice with my coding - which I have to say are improving. Like I said, I still plan to work on Telpeath's Gift once my other website is finished, but I am starting to think that that particular idea will change - I've left this website abandoned for far too long *Tolkien-swoonage*. I'll get my staff working on some concepts for the new Telpeath's Gift, which will probably premiere in the new year. I will be posting a few more things after next week is done (it's going to be crazy). Who knows - Telpeath's Gift might be going on a wild ride these next few months!

Sincerely (and always Apologetic to my affiliates who constantly wait for my sluggish updates),

Telpeath

Okay - 1/3 Done!
Happy September everyone! I hope your health has been good lately and I wish you all the best as the school year has once again begun. As the title of this post suggests, I have officially and successfully transfered PSD into XHTML/CSS! This is exciting, now that I am officially one thirds done! This project is lasting a lot longer than I thought, but I have confidence that it will be done by November/December.

As I said, I finished the transferring of the Photoshop into a XHTML Document and am now going to begin work on the CMS (Content Management System) and other aspects. This will be the hardest part of the project - foreseeing here - and will take the longest (probably will be the crux which makes this project be on schedule or not).

Once finished with this project (January???), I will begin work on the all new Telpeath's Gift Layout! More news, features (My Access?), and definitely some nifty stuff that even I am unaware of! See you soon everyone!

Almost There!
Happy End of August Everyone. Well, like most, I am now back at college but that doesn't mean that my updates stop here. I am working hard on my other coding project (one which won't launch - it seems - for a very long time). Till then, the updates here will be bare, lacking both content and correction to the many things that still need correction. I am planning to be done with this website around mid-October. That is if all the coding goes smoothly and nothing terrible happens to either the computer or myself. The maintenance check will still happen as scheduled (check back for more information). Nothing major will change during this layout, but I will fix up a few links and talk about some other very important information. However, I want you to all be aware of this information:

Come January 1st, the site will undergo its first major construction period since it launched in 2004. I have decided that the website will be completely renovated, from top to bottom, during a five month period. Yes - five months. There will be more information regarding this extremely big change in the following updates (I¡¯ll even create a page for this). Don¡¯t freak out yet - I¡¯m still calm and so should you. You will definitely like what you see.

I will be updating in more frequency in the next couple weeks as I finish up the exhausting stretch of the design portion of the other website. It¡¯s always the hardest part of making a website - coding is so much easy (except for the PHP that will be implemented *eye twitch*). If I don¡¯t die from the insanity of creating a nice, elegant, and working/user-friendly design, I will see you in a couple days (when I hope this stupid stage will be done with *Photoshop Designed = Death*).

Mid-Hiatus Update
Even though I am on Hiatus, it doesn't mean that I am completely gone! My summer is slowly escaping me and all I can say is, "WOW." The past few weeks, I have been observing my site for some information, mainly which pages are most popular. To be quite honest, I am not impressed with the results. Most of the visitors are stopping on the first page - and only the rare few are going to the other pages.

One of the pages that has not received any form of visitation is the new addition - My Access. I am really disappointed that this big project isn't being implemented. However, I am not giving up hope just yet. Somebody will recognize it.

One of the biggest changes is what is to come this fall. I have, with much thought, decided to completely revamp Telpeath's Gift. This was not planned for the upcoming fall, but when the statistics reached me, along with some other information, I was urging for an update. The ideas are not set in stone, but some of the changes will be:

  • Coding will be completely rewritten

  • Security will be improved

  • Categories/Links will be condensed

I also plan on redoing the updates section, along with the awards and the affiliation pages. This is still within the Processing state - and much will be decided once I finish the other website (which isn't moving very quickly).

On the website here, I have reopened the Contact Us page. I made a simple change that should stop most SPAM in its tracks, but who knows. When I was working on the page this afternoon, within 3 hours, I received 140 messages of SPAM. Crazy! I hope you enjoy it - and you may enjoy seeing what happens if you don't do the form right!

I hope you have all had a great start of August! See you all soon with more information!
