Even though I am on Hiatus, it doesn't mean that I am completely gone! My summer is slowly escaping me and all I can say is, "WOW." The past few weeks, I have been observing my site for some information, mainly which pages are most popular. To be quite honest, I am not impressed with the results. Most of the visitors are stopping on the first page - and only the rare few are going to the other pages.

One of the pages that has not received any form of visitation is the new addition - My Access. I am really disappointed that this big project isn't being implemented. However, I am not giving up hope just yet. Somebody will recognize it.

One of the biggest changes is what is to come this fall. I have, with much thought, decided to completely revamp Telpeath's Gift. This was not planned for the upcoming fall, but when the statistics reached me, along with some other information, I was urging for an update. The ideas are not set in stone, but some of the changes will be:

• Coding will be completely rewritten


• Security will be improved


• Categories/Links will be condensed

I also plan on redoing the updates section, along with the awards and the affiliation pages. This is still within the Processing state - and much will be decided once I finish the other website (which isn't moving very quickly).

On the website here, I have reopened the Contact Us page. I made a simple change that should stop most SPAM in its tracks, but who knows. When I was working on the page this afternoon, within 3 hours, I received 140 messages of SPAM. Crazy! I hope you enjoy it - and you may enjoy seeing what happens if you don't do the form right!

Hey Everyone, things have been really crazy around here, and I just wanted to let you know what is next. Just this past week, I went to the hospital due to some palpitations that were becoming more and more recognizable. Today I got the news that it was anxiety. The doctor has asked that I take it easy for a little while - at least so that I can someone relax. With this being said, I have decided to take a break from Telpeath's Gift for a little while. Don't worry - I'm not leaving, but I need to figure a few things out. I am thinking of redoing Telpeath's Gift completely - starting from scratch once again. There are lots of flaws, lots of errors, and I need to figure our where traffic is coming and going from.

So what does this mean for you? Keep visiting! I'm actually going to be spending some time analyzing the statistics that come in for the next couple of weeks. I will analyze what pages are most visited, and which ones aren't. Then, I may be making a few additions/deletions to the site. I promise I will get the awards judged during this time too. I plan on being back sometime during August! Thanks for being great visitors!

I can't believe that Today is the Half point of my summer vacation - which means only a month or so before my classes begin! I haven't been doing too much on the website (much like I said on my previous post). If you haven't noticed, I closed down the 'Contact Us' page for some much needed security upgrades. I have also decided (with your vote) to keep the TG Awards! I haven't gotten around to judging, but that should be getting done with in the next week or so.

Other than that - nothing much has been going on. I am fighting something right now (virus - who knows?). I also went to see the Harry Potter Movie last night at midnight and I very much like it. If you haven't seen it yet - I would go see it. If you get motion sickness - be warned that the beginning might be hard to watch.

Summer has officially started - as far as updating goes! My appologies for my delay in physical/virtual activity on TG. During the past month, I have been working on that much needed addition to Telpeath's Gift, the one I have been excited for. Let me first tell you about my summer so far.

Well, it hasn't seemed like much of a summer. I have been working at my new job that I started in May. It's a time consumer, but a money maker (well . . . money). This coming week, I am finishing a summer course that has been nothing but a pain in the neck. I have to wake up at 6:00 AM every Monday-Thursday just to go to a class for a few hours. Crazy!

Alright, it now begins! The Update (Fear its infinite wrath. Its so evil . . . I had to use bullet points. Fwee!)!

• My Access: Do you see that new button on the sidebar? That's right ladies and gentlemen, My Access has officially returned yet again (4th times the charm!). This project has taken me a good 4+ weeks to code (naturally 1 week to design). Since it is a major addition to the site, I could take a good entire update to talk about it itself. So, I wont. • Affiliates: I really hope I am getting you all! Please welcome Charted Voyages, Palantir, and The Hobbit Forums! (If I misinterpreted your names, please let me know) O a, sp excoted that our website has grown in affiliates! We are really living up to the Mission for this year!



• Website Validation: I am happy to announce that the website was fully validated during my small time away. What does this mean? It means that the websites coding (HTML, PHP, CSS, JAVASCRIPT, ETC) has all been checked and passed. However, this does not mean that the website is still completely 100% perect. This coming Fall/Winter, I will be closing the site down for its yearly maintenance check to make sure that everything is running smoothly and that my written work is perfect.



• Regardless, I checked over the obvious spelling errors on the site (I'm sure there are still some out there). Veronica from Haldiroflorien.com has discovered some! Thanks go out to her *hug*



• Awards: We have 1 New Nominee!!!! I am going to close this round of the TG Awards so that I can get to some judging , and some mega updating. I have been toiling with the idea of letting go the TG Awards, seeing how my nominees have been falling very short lately (It could be because they have been up for a very long time). They may return at a later time, but it is taking up some space on my site that could be used for something else. I have placed a poll thing on the sidebar so that I can get yoru feedback (My visitors are my best critics).


Other than this, nothing else has changed. I have some big changes in store for the Atlas pages (time to spice that thing up). After this, I am going to begin working on my other website (more about that at a later time). Hey Everyone! To celebrate my patriotism for where I like (aka America), I am proud to announce that I will be doing the Major Update of the Summer on July 4th 2009! My Access is finally working the way I want it to and I am now doing some debugging and some security checks to make sure everything is running smoothly. I still have a few things to achieve, but they shouldn't take too long to complete! I am MEGA excited to launch this thing, as it has been nothing but a pain in the side. I will post a cover image on this update later tonight to early tomorrow morning, along with some posts in Arwen-Undomiel.com! Anyways, If you have any questions regarding the system, just let me know! I am sure I will spill some beans!
